- We Need Your Donations. Your donations are 100% tax deductible and will go a very long way. We have partnered with Assist International (A.I.) to handle our American donations. A.I. is very well respected as a non-profit organization with the highest possible rating (5 stars). - We Need Volunteers. We have many opportunities for groups, families, couples, or singles who are interested in helping orphans and widows in the heart of Africa. There are opportunities in all aspects of our operations. Anyone with a heart to reach out and serve orphans and widows in Africa will find exciting projects to help these deserving people.
Construction workers, painters, administrators, managers, students, teachers -- your time and skills will be put to great use! We have some specific areas of need but we are open to however your interests and talents lead you to support the children of East Africa. Please contact us by email at info@orphaneducation.org. - We Need You to Visit. Even if you cannot volunteer long enough to help build a house, or teach our children, or sew with our widows, we know that scheduling a "working vacation" in East Africa will open your eyes like nothing else can. Come spend a week or two getting to know East Africa and its people -- we guarantee you that you will never forget the people or the country. Better yet, bring your children to open their eyes about what is going on in the rest of the world. We will be happy to take you on (very safe) tours of the surrounding areas.
- We Need You to Spread the Word. Talk to your friends, family, and coworkers -- work up a plan together to donate money and/or time as a group. We can build houses, schools, medical clinics, retail centers, and more by teaming up together. By investing in sub-Saharan Africa, you are literally saving thousands of lives by helping us turn the tide of our continent.
You Really Do Make a Difference.
This is our school in Njeru, Uganda. It is now complete and ready for over 300 students -- of these, 25% come from wealthy families willing to pay tuition. The tuition from these families allows the school to be self-sustaining and normalizes the school experience for the orphaned children. The benefit for the paying families is a lower teacher-to-student ratio.
